Nearly 2,800 supported NSAA’s mission with 2017-2018 season memberships.
NSAA put Anchorage in national spotlight as host of 500 athletes and coaches at the L.L. Bean US Cross Country Skiing National Championship. It was viewed by 88,000 viewers thanks to NSAA-led technology upgrades at Kincaid Park.
NSAA was honored by the Anchorage Assembly for events, volunteer service and efficient snowmaking, which fueled a $2 million economic impact.
Over 9,200 people participated in 57 NSAA competitive and recreational events and programs; 73 percent of participants were 18 and younger.
