Let the Snowmaking Commence!
While we’re waiting for the real stuff to show up, we’ve been given the “green light” to start up the snowmaking system and begin making snow at Kincaid Park. Bill, Jack, Craig and Tim will be working in shifts from 4pm – 8am (when the temperatures are coldest) for as long as these conditions hang around. The system will be off during the day as the temperatures rise. They’ll make and pile snow for several days before they move it around with the Pisten Bully. As far as we can see, the forecast is looking favorable to make snow well into next week. If you are interested in helping with the snowmaking process, please contact Craig at the Bunker 243-1980.
The Operations team is constantly monitoring the humidity and temperature and will only make snow when these conditions are optimal and sustainable. As a priority, we give great consideration to the responsible use of water, electricity, labor and your money.

Please keep in mind that for safety reasons, the Snowmaking Loop will be closed during the snowmaking process… so please plan your ventures on other trails. Thank you and we appreciate your cooperation.
Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!
