Junior Nordic, Anchorage’s most popular learn-to-ski program for kids!

February 2014 NEW SNOW PHOTOS!

Junior Nordic’s goal is to instill a lifelong love of cross country skiing in Anchorage’s youth. This non-competitive program for kids ages 6 to 14 is all about getting active and enjoying Anchorage’s fabulous parks. Junior Nordic is a program of the Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage, a non-profit organization.

Group sizes are small, average 10 skiers per coach. Lessons meet at three different locations: Hillside Park, Kincaid Park and Russian Jack Springs Park. All groups ski three days a week:  two weeknights and Saturday.  You choose a Tues/Thurs/Sat or Mon/Wed/Sat combination. The first session starts in November and our second session begins in January. Each session is eight weeks long. Discounts are offered for registering for both sessions. Rental skis are available for a nominal fee. Skiers must provide their own boots and poles.

Everything you need to know can be found by clicking on the Junior Nordic tabs above. Look around, and then if you still have questions, please feel free to call the NSAA office at 276-7609!

We look forward to skiing with your kids this winter! We LOVE and need parent volunteers.
