Start your winter off with a lesson with NSAA. All levels of skier are welcome!
NSAA is pleased to once again offer adult Nordic ski lessons this winter! Are you brand new to Nordic skiing? Do you want to improve your technique out on the trail? Are you aiming for a personal best in the Tour? Are you interested in meeting new people that love to ski? If you said YES! to any of these questions, then adult lessons with NSAA is the answer!
Who should take a lesson?
Everyone! We offer lessons for all abilities, skate or classic. Not interested in small-group learning dynamics? We also offer private lessons that cater directly to what you are interested in improving on.
Who are the coaches?
These lessons will be instructed by Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) coaches, whose instruction focuses on student-centered learning.
Wait. How do nordic skiing and cross country skiing differ?
They don’t. Each term means the same thing – skiing on skinny skis where your toe is attached and your heel is free. Skate skiing refers to the technique of sending your ski tips out right and left. Diagonal or classic skiing refers to the technique of sending your ski tips straight forward in front of you – kicking yourself forward rather than pressing the outside edges of the skis into the snow to glide forward (skate skiing). Confused? Come take a lesson!
What kind of lesson is right for me?
